Sizzler Development Camp for Girls | Developed by Best Dougherty Softball
Game Smarter.
Play Braver.
A development-first softball series where every weekend turns real game situations into opportunities to think, try, compete, and grow.
See It In Motion
A Different Way to Play.
Not Regular Tournament Ball
The Scoreboard Rewards the Whole Game.
Sizzler is built to reward the choices that make players more complete: reading a play, taking a smart risk, covering a teammate, working through a rundown, and trying a skill before it feels automatic. Winning matters. Learning how to compete well matters just as much.
Skills With a Reason
Featured skills appear in live situations, so players understand when and why they matter.
Points With Purpose
Teams earn points for execution, effort, softball IQ, and finding the next play, not only the final result.
Room to Be Brave
Players get permission to try the tough play, make a mistake, learn from it, and come back ready for the next rep.
Four Weekends. One Progression.
Each Weekend Raises the Challenge.
The series starts with clear, approachable decisions and gradually introduces more runners, more options, and more pressure. Skills carry forward as the point opportunities shift, so athletes build confidence before being asked to do more.

Designed for More Reps
Fast, Active, and Full of Decisions.
Sizzler keeps the game moving while giving athletes more moments to learn. A two-ball starting count invites hitters to compete. Coach pitch turns a walk into another playable ball. The three-second possession rule asks defenders to decide quickly instead of freezing.
Every defensive half-inning also begins with a Sizzler Start: a featured game situation where the defence can earn its first out by executing the weekend's skill focus. It is a low-stakes chance to practise the decision before it appears in the game.
Built to Grow With Players
A Series That Meets Athletes Where They Are.
The same core ideas can be taught at every division. Coaches can adjust the speed, distance, and difficulty while keeping the movement and decision-making process consistent.
